Answer

In most reputable brick-and-mortar casinos, the roulette wheels and outcomes are not controlled by computers or any electronic devices. The roulette wheel is a mechanical device, and the outcome of each spin is determined by the laws of physics and randomness. The wheel is spun by the croupier, and the ball is released onto the spinning wheel. The outcome is determined by where the ball lands when the wheel stops spinning.

However, some casinos do offer electronic roulette games, where the outcome is determined by a computer using a random number generator (RNG) to ensure fair and random results. These electronic roulette games can be found either as standalone terminals or as part of an online live casino experience. In both cases, the results are determined by a computer rather than a physical roulette wheel.

It’s essential to play at licensed and regulated casinos to ensure fair play and that the games are not rigged or controlled in any way that favors the casino. Reputable casinos are regularly audited by independent agencies to confirm the integrity of their games and systems.

  1. No. And the simple reason is that they do not need to. The payout structure of the game is sufficient to net the casino plenty of money yet keep players playing.

  2. No. Each spin of the roulette wheel is COMPLETELY RANDOM. The casinos do not cheat and use computers because they don’t need to. With roulette having a 5-6% house advantage, they are making enough money off this game without using computers.
Now, with online casinos, you can’t be so sure. There may be a computer dictating who wins and loses there.

  3. Roulette has the worst house edge of any traditional casino table game, which is why people often think they’re being cheated. The house edge at roulette is 5.27%!! That means for every $100 you bet, you’re automatically going to lose $5.27 (As compared to about $1 playing blackjack). And that’s assuming you have a nearly infinite bankroll. Since most people only sit down with $100 or so, they do not have enough money to wade through a losing streak and get to the expected house edge, so they often lose all their money rather quickly.

Anyway, I do not suggest you play roulette. Not because the casinos cheat, because it is a terrible game for the player.

  4. of couse they do! everybody bets on insides and outsides and there is over $5,000 on the table and the only numbers that have not been played are “0” and “00” and the ball lands on “00”? lol what a joke! its rigged!
